Chapter 17 - The Southwest Coast

Very roughly, I drew the southwest coast by connecting all the points I have so far located along this coast.

As I mentioned before, it is possible that the coast runs from Hartre to Merinna and then back to the mouth of the Elbow River (that is, the Elbow River empties into the west coast, not the south coast), but the arrangement above is the least convoluted.

The first adjustment I made to this rough coastline was to the southeast of Merinna: If you recall, Paarfi says that Illista et al "left the coast" when traveling from Merinna to (ultimately) Hartre.

I think that means the coast extends to the southeast from Merinna, but Illista turned north toward the mouth of the Elbow River.

Since Illista et al was traveling with a wagon (and, Paarfi even suggests they traveled on a road), I drew a road connecting Merinna to the mouth of the Elbow River and beyond to the Great Northwestern Road.
