Gevlin PassCook's Bluff ... Gevlin Pass GorgeNumerous roads crisscross Mistyvale County: from Riverwall to Steps, from Brambles to Crossway, from Nacine to Gridley, from Hillcrest to Ripples, from Lottstown to Gorge. Moreover, these roads have not been carefully named; to be sure there is the Gridley Road, and the Lottstown Road, but there are three distinct roads called Hillcrest Pike and two that are known generally as the Brambles Road ... the Pins [an inn or tavern] between Crossway and Hillcrest ... another ... found on the Hillcrest Pike not far from Deepwell, is the Deepwell Inn [the Blue Fox] ... Mistyvale [County] had been part of Arylle, Luatha, and even Hampers at various times. GravelyMorrolan's small army spotted what seemed to be a small force [from Izak's army] along the road that runs from Nacine to Gravely I think the road is probably the Nacine Road, which runs east/west. The similarly named Roughground is to the west, so perhaps Gravely is also to the west, or it might be to the east. The Great Sand FlatsI travel with my little cart here to Nacine, and there I purchase items made from the good clay of the district, as well as glass bottles made from sand from the Great Sand Flats Presumably near to Nacine, perhaps to the southeast (an essentially blank area on my map). The Great Southern RoadThe Great Southern Road (it had once been at least relatively great, and certainly ran through the southernmost part of Mistyvale County) ... we are in something of a hurry, wishing to reach Covered Springs before night falls. Oh, I do not believe that will present any problem. In only a few more miles you will strike the road that runs directly to it Unfortunately, it's unclear where exactly this conversation takes place (within one day (so less than 50 miles) of Covered Springs, but that's a lot of territory). Duchy of GreenboughThere are places, such as Moot County in Greenbough, where, in one town .... while five leagues away, in the next town Since Moot County is in Greenbough, I think that makes Greenbough a Duchy. The Grey RocksThere are stories of whole lands beyond the sea. Or beneath them, some say. Beyond the Maelstrom, where no ships pass. Except that, maybe, some do. The whirlpools aren't constant, you know. And there is always talk of ways around them, even though we have charts that show only the Grey Rocks on one side, and the Spindrift Lands on the other. But there is talk of other ways, of exploring Spindrift and launching a ship from there. Of places that can be reached, where people speak strange languages and have magics of which we've never heard, where even the Orb is powerless. GridleyNumerous roads crisscross Mistyvale County: from Riverwall to Steps, from Brambles to Crossway, from Nacine to Gridley, from Hillcrest to Ripples, from Lottstown to Gorge. Gridley Roadthere is the Gridley Road, and the Lottstown Road, but there are three distinct roads called Hillcrest Pike and two that are known generally as the Brambles Road ... the Pins [an inn or tavern] between Crossway and Hillcrest ... another ... found on the Hillcrest Pike not far from Deepwell, is the Deepwell Inn [the Blue Fox] ... Mistyvale [County] had been part of Arylle, Luatha, and even Hampers at various times. Guilrock CrossingAt last they took the barge across the Adrilankha River at Guilrock Crossing and began to make their way slowly uphill again, as, even here, they were in the lap, as it were, of the Eastern Mountains. They were traveling south around the Suntra towards Redface, but still, there are hundreds of miles worth of Adrilankha River that could have been their crossing point, though I do not see any place the Adrilankha River gets near the foothills of the Eastern Mountains (for one thing, the Laughing River is between the Adrilankha River and the Eastern Mountains). home | contents | previous | next | index Questions?
