Means "Dark Hollow" according to Cracks and Shards. Spaire IslandWe offer to Elde, as a token of good-will, Spaire Island, which has been in dispute between Elde and the Empire for thousands of years. ... The wood there is of immense value in building ships, and we all know the value of watering rights. Presumably equidistant from Elde and the Empire, but no indication of whether it is northwest or southeast of the channel between the two. Spindrift/Spindrift LandsThere are stories of whole lands beyond the sea. Or beneath them, some say. Beyond the Maelstrom, where no ships pass. Except that, maybe, some do. The whirlpools aren't constant, you know. And there is always talk of ways around them, even though we have charts that show only the Grey Rocks on one side, and the Spindrift Lands on the other. But there is talk of other ways, of exploring Spindrift and launching a ship from there. Of places that can be reached, where people speak strange languages and have magics of which we've never heard, where even the Orb is powerless. StepsNumerous roads crisscross Mistyvale County: from Riverwall to Steps, from Brambles to Crossway, from Nacine to Gridley, from Hillcrest to Ripples, from Lottstown to Gorge. Moreover, these roads have not been carefully named; to be sure there is the Gridley Road, and the Lottstown Road, but there are three distinct roads called Hillcrest Pike and two that are known generally as the Brambles Road ... the Pins [an inn or tavern] between Crossway and Hillcrest ... another ... found on the Hillcrest Pike not far from Deepwell, is the Deepwell Inn [the Blue Fox] ... Mistyvale [County] had been part of Arylle, Luatha, and even Hampers at various times.
